How was the regional? It was fun! I got to play against a lot of different decks and everyone was pleasant to play with.
How do you win with your deck? Mostly generate a lot of resources and then end the game with Yuma level 3. The antidamage event is there as an alternative as well.
Any shoutouts? Thanks to my brother Alexander M for letting me borrow his deck. I used his decklist with only one card changed.

How was the regional? It was great! Honestly one of the better online tournament experiences I've had.
How do you win with your deck? Wall up with standbys, and eventually whittle away at my opponents resources before shutting down their final push with the tap counter.
Any shoutouts? Shoutouts to Roy C., ny fellow top 16 member for the decklist. I literally stole it card for card from his top 8 finish at BCS Vancouver. Also shoutouts to Jetro B. for letting me borrow the deck, as well as the other BC players in Top 16!

How was the regional? This went significantly better than I expected. I wasn't feeling motivated this year, so I almost didn't participate. Was surprised to make top 16
How do you win with your deck? Turn cards sideways
Any shoutouts? Shoutouts to the AZ community for their support and putting up with my special flavor of humor. One day more than 2 of us will make top 16 Soon TM. Shoutouts to Phil G and Jarrod R for 'testing' this deck before me so I could shamelessly steal it

How was the regional? Everything ran well, I yolo'd a deck instead of queueing Clannad, but at least I made top cut doing so.
How do you win with your deck? draw 5 cxs t1, proceed to standby 2/1 sora at lvl 1 and pray you dont take an L. If you dont you triple EP neg soul and slam bar every turn.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to SBTCG, and to Wibbs for telling me to play this deck bc he knows I'm really good at opening 5cx in hand and Sora is sick if you do that often enough.

How was the regional? It was a lot of fun this year. Unfortunately only a few people from my locals participated this time but it was still a lot of fun. I'm glad to have made it into top 16 with some other friends as well. Looking forward to hopefully getting to play again in-person and meeting new people.
How do you win with your deck? Focus on level 0 at setting up one card in memory and ideally triple level 1 Ai combo. Try to loop the combo and use early play heals at level 2. At level 3, depending on the opponent's deck state, either use Kanata finisher or Ai finisher. Also try not to have 4 climaxes in hand every turn...
Any shoutouts? 2022 has been a year with lots of fun moments but I also had to say goodbye to someone I loved dearly just over a week ago. It's comforting knowing I still have this game and the playerbase to go back to whenever I'm having a hard time. A lot of my shoutouts are honestly the same as last year. Shoutout to Roy and Jason, my fellow finalists who have helped me a lot with deckbuilding and discussions. Shoutout to my locals, including Sajeev, Steve, John, Joseph, Alfred, Sam, Raymond, Wilmer, Kelvin, Tyler, Varga, Liam, Vincent, Ryan, Sean and Victor. Shoutout to the Brampton crew, including Brandon, Kevin, Udhay, Ajit, Mehtab, Vicky, Minh and Brian. Thank you to James for always encouraging me to play and cheering me on throughout all my games. Thank you to my dog, Beeboo. I miss you a lot, rest in peace.

How was the regional? The games were fun; I thought it would be doomed after losing round one but somehow pulled through. The delay in the middle of block B was a bummer but other than that, it was great!
How do you win with your deck? Win board while fishing for delicious soul triggers for the opponent to eat. Also hope my opponent gets blinded by the shiny cards.
Any shoutouts? Shoutouts to the people in Shizukatz's server, those guys are true sweaty gamers. Nino best quint!

How was the regional? It was great playing people I've never played before. Quite a diverse set of decks I played against. Pretty tired near the end, but my opponents were chill.
How do you win with your deck? Setup for lvl1 and Misaki support package. Try to do Kanon combo every turn. Use Kokoro combo to end games. End turn with 7cx in stock if opponent lives.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to the Sat WS gang. Also Misaki is cute.

How was the regional? The regional experience was fun. I have done Discord tournaments here and there for the past few years during the pandemic and even still stuck around for a bit as places opened up again. The judges and players were all professional and really intuitive with their deck build and choices. I also had fun talking with people after the match about their past rounds or what cards in their deck they were looking to change or keep in.
How do you win with your deck? Build the Soul Wall at level 1 for 4 stock. Overpower the numbers game and hold the line for as long as possible.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to the Team Gradelock fam for being an amazing team and family! Next, shoutouts to the NJ WS Schwarz crew, playing WS for the past 9 years has been an honor and a privilege, even when members take breaks or take big life steps. Always glad to see familiar and new faces and glad to see the scene expand out to other locals. Shoutouts to Time Warp Comics and Games for being the origin point for weekly WS tournaments, and other homes for WS like Final Turn Gaming, Greg's Games, and Saga Concepts. It's been a wild ride so far, and glad to see folks being able to play WS in different areas in New Jersey! Shoutouts to StrictlyBroken for the streams and WS content for competitive play! Last but certainly not least, shoutout to my family and friends for being there for me!

How was the regional? It was grate, I was at a friends place and I woke up in time to borrow their laptop to play. Shoutouts to my boys Ajit and Udhay who let me stay there and got the set up ready for me. Also shoutouts to church's chicken for being bomb that night.
How do you win with your deck? tri-lane slam cx every turn, stock charge 3 times at lv1, stock with brainstorm, heal loop at 2 with freefresh and sit on 7 memory and cancel. When opponent is out many, I just burn 4 and they lose from 2.
Any shoutouts? Shout outs to Team SUGU and Toronto WS community as always. Special thanks to Kevin "WSgod sasuke" P, Ajit D C, Udhay D C and Tyler "Inuzuka Kiba" T for last min practice. Deck Name: Shenlin flipping 2 CXs
||
Assault Lily
How was the regional? It was a blast. I'm glad to make top cut in my first time playing in a major JP tournament. It was great to meet and play with new and veteran players from all over North America. I'm happy to represent Assault Lily, one of my favorite anime series, and show that the deck still performs very good despite having a banlist.
How do you win with your deck? Use Shenlin to bomb your opponent's Aqua while you still get that sweet +2 (hopefully, I whiff too many times with this effect). Build a large pile of clean stock with the choice triggers and twin drives. Try to keep hand size healthy and stay compressed, and finish your opponent with "Gran Eple's Winning Strategy". The deck does lack a bit in terms of hand fix and counters (which I probably should've added more), so you gotta hope that you don't draw a bunch of CXs and have no way to get rid of them.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to everyone in the SoCal community for a friendly local environment. Thanks to HotC for organizing the event and all my opponents for the fun games. Will definitely join again next year.

How was the regional? I had a great time! A lot of the people I played were cool and I had a lot of good conversations after the games. I am glad that I got the opportunity to play this year.
How do you win with your deck? I try to sit on my level 1 Pekoras for most of the game while milling out my deck if I am ever in a bad deck state. I have a lot of utility cards that let me deal with just about any deck I play against. Cards such as the lvl 3 Ayame and Watame are super useful. The Coco twin drive allows me to keep my stock clean too. I will then try and finish games with triple Marine.
Any shoutouts? I want to shout out my friends within the Arizona WS community. They helped me feel welcome when I picked the game up back in 2018 and they have become good friends since then.
