Violation: Attempted Bribery
From the Tournament Organization staff, there was a report of the following action:
"A Player (Player A) offered something to another player (Player B) if Player B would perform an Game-Loss level rule violation, penalizing their current standings, where Player B was above Player A. The situation was revealed to the staff, and Player A was given a Disqualification."
The Tournament Management staff then interviewed all parties, and determined the report to be true. There is an ongoing investigation to determine the severity of the act. Regardless of the outcome of that investigation, the act described not only attempts to undermine the validity of the tourmanent procedure, it causes an unfair tournament environment for all attendees, and cannot be allowed.
Penalty Given: Regional Disqualification
The player was Disqualified from the event. An in-depth investigation is in progress, the result of which may lead to an increased penalty.
