How was the regional? I really appreciated how the tournament was ran by Luke, in a very professional manner and as fairly as possible.
How do you win with your deck? Gain advantage with the Lv 1 Climax Combo (RG/WP03-05), and deny my opponent's reverse abilities using Runners at Lv 0 (RG/W13-059) and Dragon Strike starting at Lv 1 (ID/W10-021). Go into Lv 2 with as much clean stock as possible, and continue to compress the deck. Lv 2 game is just about refilling hand with brainstorms and leaving the board open for my opponent to attack direct into my compressed deck for increased cancel rates. The Lv 3 finishers are extremely consistent since it doesn't require a climax combo. I will plan the finishers accordingly based on the match up and game-state. The early play Lv 3 (RG/WP03-07) was completely removed from the deck this year, since a lot of the match ups it could be good against have back row supports that are Lv 3, which the combo cannot target.
Any shoutouts? Glad I was able to take first place two years in a row! Hope I do better at Worlds in Japan this year. Thanks to Eric K. for coming up with the shell for this build a few years ago. Thanks to Mike C. for putting in overtime and taking care of the shop so that I could participate in the tournament! Thanks to Sam W. for accompanying me this trip and helping me do last minute play tests for the final adjustments to the deck!

Love Live! Sunshine!!
How was the regional? Nationals was really fun. The tournament was well-run and a blast to partake in. I had a bit of difficulty in the swiss rounds but managed to squeak into top cut via strength of schedule. Top cut was competitive and well-played by all who made it!
How do you win with your deck? Level 0 utility to grab the level 1 CXC. Play the level 1 CXC to grab your Mirai Ticket pieces and/or mill through your deck. Early play Mirai Ticket with a 1/0 top-check Mari to set up your burns. Hand fix for what you want late-game. Swing for as close to exact damage for game.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to the whole Rochester area WS players. I wasn't able to bring the title back, but next year will be different. Shoutout to Chris O who helped make me want to be a more consistent WS player. Shoutout to Narumatt's playgroup as you guys were the first ones to take me in and help me begin my improvement in this game! Shoutout to Dawei C and Josh A who constantly talk to me about WS. Shoutout to Luke, the judging staff, and Hammergirl Anime's staff as this event would not be possible without you guys! Shoutout to You Watanabe and Saito Shuka for being best girl in Aqours! I'll be back next year.

How was the regional? Very fun. This is my 2nd yr going to nationals and enjoy meeting new people and talking about the game with. It was a very long trip but it's always worth it in the end.
How do you win with your deck? Using 8 bars with a filter to try to keep clean compression, then Kamome buries the treasures and goes arrgh.
Any shoutouts? First off to everyone at the Win Condition Games crew, the best place to play Weiss in the Southeast! To my friend Bryan who recently took 2nd at Atlanta BCS to inspire me to do my best!

How was the regional? I won every 2017 matchup and lost every 2018 matchup. My strategy to dodge the new decks and pretend it’s still 2017 worked to some extent. I am thankful that the folks who run NA WGP have put so much thought into their floor rules and tournament structure. It was a good event.
How do you win with your deck? I’ll expand on my explanation from the regional at Island Games (Centreville, VA). Second deck / level 2 field is two-lane dolphins that reach 8.5k power backed by the brainstorm and alpaca stockcharger. Against most decks these only fail to kill early plays, and most early plays are an active liability for the opponent’s damage output against your empty board. The free plusses open up your brainstorm to find pieces for the pivot to two-lane Serval restand backed by rest counter. The free plusses also enable Lucky Beast. Lucky Beast is powerful. It can snowball your cancels into even more cancels. It can attack your opponent’s compression in a decks normally cannot, and the few other decks with decompression plans typically cannot do so before level 3. The card demands a high slot commitment so that a copy is more reliably in the deck to fetch off brainstorms. Brainstorm, hit 2 CXs, grab a double bonder lvl 0 Kaban for the endgame pivot and a Lucky Beast, shuffle those CXs back into the deck—this is not an uncommon sequence at level 2. The restand is fine. It is remarkably cost efficient, wins lanes for the rest counter, and has a high enough damage ceiling that you can win games from behind. But more typically the restand turn is a formality. The damage lead was acquired at level 2.
Any shoutouts? Visit wsalmanac.wordpress.com for a curated list of the best WS articles and content. I am happy that the Japanese-language scene in NA is exploring spring season events. I am blessed with too many good relationships in this community. Thanks everybody.

How was the regional? Tournament was awesome, I came in with no expectations on the LCQ and managed to qualify then ran super hot. This is my first year of playing WS so getting a big finish this early feels super good.
How do you win with your deck? You tri-field Shizuru and throw down a ton of stock, then you never lose with gloves, then you put out big beefy early plays that can never lose w/1k level assist and gloves, then you -2 soul them so they can’t deal significant damage.
Any shoutouts? Mad shoutout to the boy Vicky for the 50 for the event. I don’t own a JP deck and he hooked me up. Mad shoutout to Ryon for being basically a WS mentor, and shoutout to the Battlegrounds crew for taking me in and showing me the ropes. Shoutout to F chat just because.
