THE KING OF FIGHTERS
How was the regional? It was great to have South Florida represented once again at WGP. Decided to have fun this time around and bring back my signature KoF deck.
How do you win with your deck? Eight 2 Souls. I call the strategy'The Domino's Pizza Strat' 5-5-5. Consistently hitting for five by playing 2 soul every turn & having many soul triggers. I maintain advantage & a field through sack brain-storming, Continue event, cards with encore & Level 1 K' combo. Basically sack early game until Level 3 empty stock to play Level 3 Ash & Level 3 Kyo, the rest of the field does not matter. Play Germinal Climax, gain a stock, attack 3 times going for a sack win. If that doesn't work, as soon as opponent attacks, play Continue event, pay 4 & burn with Kyo on their turn GG
Any shoutouts? This is my 6th time getting Top 4 at WGP and feels great that I was able to put KoF on the map. Shoutout to the entire South Florida WS Community and the people who helped us get here- Adrian, Gio, Roneal, Jared, Andrew, Sean, Keith, and Jay. Scott and Cool Stuff for giving this game a chance 6 years ago. S/O Chick-Fil-A Weston! Follow me on Twitter @dbastias

How was the regional? It was interesting to say the least. Expected some heavy hitting meta decks. Instead everyone played scuffed rogue decks, but it was all good fun.
How do you win with your deck? Maximum stock compression with Lvl 1 climax combo. Keep adding level 3's to your hand via a very busted Lvl 0 Elly backrow card. Get ready for Level 3 because early summoning Sheryl is close to impossible. Get to Level 3 first with 10+ stock, attack at a minimum of 5 times, don't even let them play out Level 3.
Any shoutouts? To anyone that plays the Detective meta deck, I feel for you guys. This deck requires so much forethought my brain imploded halfway through the last match. I think I'll stick with my 8 two soul Teddie deck. The South Florida Weiss community is the best community. David, Gio, Adrian, Jared, and the rest of the veterans make the South Florida meta the best meta ever.

How was the regional? Overall,I enjoyed this amazing experience. I was able to participate in this event with one of my favorite decks. I got to play with some of my friends and the event was run really well.
How do you win with your deck? It was interesting. I kept spamming my level one bomb and clear my opposite board and using hand encore to recover. Then once I made to level 3, I use my level 3 and use the card effect to mill and destroy one of the opponent card. I was focus on controlling the board.
Any shoutouts? Shoutout to My mom and my sister Jocelyn for their continuous support in me playing the game I love. Todd, Owner of T'z Toys and Games for ordering product to continue my addiction from this game. And my friends Roneal, David, Gio, Adrian, Nick, and Lennon for helping me improving in this game by brainstorming ideas and testing out decks.

How was the regional? It was fun, everyone arrived on time and the event was expertly coordinated. We started on time, every player was organized and respectful of one another, and the event ended smoothly.
How do you win with your deck? The deck's only ways to gain advantage is only clocking, Gate Triggers, (2) Rest to salvage a character from the waiting room, and the 1/0 Maeda Keiji who blind stocks on Climax trigger. The main goal is to set up Level 2 for the 2/2 Masamune Date combos and discard as many climaxes as possible. At Level 3, use the 3/2 Sanada Yukimura climax combo to burn 5 for a finisher. The rest, including set up, is up to luck.
Any shoutouts? I'd like to shout out everyone who participated, including my friends: Gio, Roneal, David, and Jared. I'd also like to thank everyone I played with when I began and kept me motivated to keep playing, such as Keith and Sean. Special thanks to the South Florida community, a nice tightly knit group of people who play their best with what they like.
