Violation: Attempt to Defraud, Willful Misrepresentation to Judge Staff
From the Tournament Organization staff, there was a report of the following action:
"A Player modified their decklist during a Deck Check to attempt to avoid a penalty, falsely stating that the modification was done before the tournament began. The situation was revealed to the staff, and the player was given a Disqualification."
The Tournament Management staff then interviewed all parties, and determined the report to be true. The act described not only attempts to undermine the validity of organizational staff, it causes an unfair tournament environment for all attendees, and cannot be allowed.
Penalty Given: 2015 Season NA WGP Disqualification
This penalty begins immediately, and lasts through the end of the 2015 North American WS WGP Season. During this penalty time, the player may not enter any North American WS WGP tournament, including but not limited to Regionals, Last-Chance Qualifier, and Nationals.
