How was the regional?
It was great. I got to see some familiar face. It just sucked that my SP Alexs didn't come in the mail, so I could rock max rarity.
How do you win with your deck?
At level one you sit on the 1/1 Marcos with 2 Alexs in the back row and build stock for your level 3s. If you whiff on the marcos you can also have the level 1 shouhichi komachi as a back up.
Any shoutouts?
Shoutouts to Top Cut Comics Chicago, The Cardfighters Underground, and my buddies Mantis Dennis Phu and Andrew who made the trip with me.

Sword Art Online
How was the regional?
It was overall a very interesting experience. I had just come back after a year long hiatus. Having topped the Indianapolis regional in 2013, I wanted to test my skills again to see how far I could get with my first "competitive" deck-Sword Art Online(II). Having seen some of the newer stuff in sets like Girlfriend Beta and To Love-Ru, I was coming into the regional fully expecting to be the underdog.
How do you win with your deck?
The deck is running 4(!!!!) colors. I built the deck based on a bit of card theory from a friend, and suggestions from another friend. A lot of the card theory I had learned from my time playing English Kantai Collection, so I built my advantage engine around Lizbeth, Trustworthy Skills(SAO/SE26-23 R) and "Zekken" Yuuki(SAO/SE26-10 R). The advantage engine would match the situation that I was faced. If I was playing against anti-salvage as seen in Kantai Collection and To Love-Ru, I would fall back on the advantage engine of "Zekken" Yuuki. Best case scenario, I would have access to both.
I also played a lot of cards with on-play value. The MVPs of the deck were definitely Klein, Katana Wielder(SAO/S20-078 R) and Sinon, Wildcat Girl(SAO/SE26-30 C). These cards allowed my characters to maintain good size defensive numbers(a feature that wasn't available to SAO before). The "Flash" Asunas(SAO/S20-002 RR) were alternatives to the Kirito, to Obtain the Holy Sword(SAO/SE26-29 R) in case I needed to get an advance summon or an encorable threat off the field immediately. The level 3 is fairly simple in only playing Yuuki, Happy Memories as the "finisher".
Any shoutouts?
I would like to give shoutouts to a friend who taught me a bunch about card theory and advantage; Kevin W. I would also like to thank the guys from Top Cut Comics and Cardfighters Underground for being such a competitive playerbase and giving me the opportunity to play against them. I'd also like to thank Johnny M. and his group for convincing me to play the game again. I'd like to thank Brian M. for turboing us to Hometown Comics after I drove so slow. And a special thank you to the staff at Hometown Comics for hosting all of us and this great event.
p.s also would like to thank my waifu Leafa :)

Shoutout to the Illiana group for being awesome people to turn cardboard with. Shoutout to The Card Academy for having the cards to build my deck and Aubrey for driving 6 hours to get them. And the secret to success is cheap sleeves and a paper mat.

How was the regional?
It was really good. All games were really close and they could have went either way.
How do you win with your deck?
At level 0 I searched out my 3/2 Kirika and tried to build up stock. My level 1 game I have a stock gen climax combo and draw to get any missing pieces in my had for my level 2 game. At level 2 I early play the 3/2 Kirika and play my free fresh and try to stay and level 2 for as long as possible beetween free fresh and the heal from Kirika. If the game goes to level 3 I play the 3/2 Sonia that restand with my climax combo.
Any shoutouts?
To my play group in Columbus, Ohio for letting me test my deck out against them.
